BMW M Motorsport Integrates M4 GT3 EVO into Fortnite and Rocket League
The convergence of real-world motorsport and digital gaming reaches a new level as BMW M Motorsport partners with Epic Games to introduce the M4 GT3 EVO into two leading video game titles. This GT3 racing car, which competed successfully in its 2025 debut season on international circuits, now appears in Fortnite and Rocket League. The virtual model features a distinctive livery drawn from the anime series BLEACH, specifically inspired by protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki’s iconic outfit. Players can access the vehicle in both games, expanding BMW’s presence in esports environments.
This collaboration builds on prior integrations, including the BMW M240i, first-generation M3, and other models previously added to Rocket League. In Fortnite, complementary items from the BMW M Motorsport collection, such as Hypnotic LS sneakers produced with PUMA, become available in the in-game shop. The partnership targets younger audiences engaged in gaming culture while showcasing the performance capabilities of BMW’s flagship GT racing platform.
A physical version of the BLEACH-themed M4 GT3 EVO stands on display at BMW Welt in Munich through January 11, 2026. This exhibit allows visitors to view the actual race car that inspired the digital rendition, bridging virtual and tangible experiences. The M4 GT3 EVO incorporates lightweight carbon components and optimized aerodynamics for endurance racing demands.
BMW M Motorsport views this initiative as an extension of track performance into digital realms. Timo Brückner, project lead for automotive gaming at BMW M, notes the effort presents the GT3 program’s technical prowess to global gaming communities. The integration aligns with growing overlaps between automotive brands and interactive entertainment platforms.
Epic Games supports the rollout across its titles, marking continued cooperation after earlier BMW vehicle appearances. The BLEACH collaboration adds cultural layering, tying the car’s bold black-and-white design to the anime’s visual style. This multi-faceted approach combines motorsport engineering with anime aesthetics and gaming accessibility.
The move reflects broader industry trends where manufacturers leverage popular media to engage demographics beyond traditional enthusiasts. Rocket League’s car-based gameplay and Fortnite’s vast player base provide high-visibility channels for the M4 GT3 EVO’s digital debut. Real-world racing teams continue to field the vehicle in GT3 competitions concurrently with its virtual availability.
