The company has received significant financial backing from the technology giant Xiaomi and its co-founder Liu De serves as a director. Their investment suggests a strong belief in the potential of niche electric sports cars in a market dominated by family SUVs and sedans. The SC01 is currently priced at roughly forty-one thousand dollars in its home market.
Production has reportedly commenced with deliveries expected to reach customers in the near future. While the initial focus remains on the domestic Chinese market there is hope that this exciting coupe could eventually make its way to international shores. Its combination of affordability and performance fills a void left by the discontinuation of other small sports cars.
