Chinese Electric Automotive Brands Unveil Latest Models At Brussels Motor Show 2026
The Brussels Motor Show 2026 has officially opened its doors to the public with a strong presence from international manufacturers. This year the event highlights a significant push from Chinese automakers into the European market. Two prominent brands have taken center stage with their latest offerings to capture local attention. Zeekr and Leapmotor used this prestigious platform to introduce new electric vehicles tailored for European roads.
Zeekr officially launched the 7GT electric station wagon during the event. This new arrival marks the fourth model from the brand to enter this specific region. It joins the existing lineup which includes the 001 wagon and the X compact crossover. The 7GT is known as the Zeekr 007 GT in the domestic Chinese market. It aims to compete in the growing segment of electric estates that combine practicality with performance.
The design of the European-spec Zeekr 7GT closely mirrors its Chinese counterpart with a few subtle adjustments. The exterior features a sleek profile characterized by a sloped bonnet and a distinctive ducktail spoiler at the rear. One notable difference is the absence of the Zeekr Stargate interactive light band on the front of the vehicle. This lighting feature remains exclusive to the version sold in China. The station wagon body style offers increased cargo space while maintaining the sporty dynamics of the original sedan.
Leapmotor also made headlines with the debut of the B03X affordable SUV. This model is known domestically as the A10 and targets the competitive compact SUV market. The vehicle features a modern aesthetic with a large trapeze-shaped grille and flush door handles. It measures roughly four meters in length and offers a wheelbase designed to maximize interior cabin space. This launch signifies a major step for Leapmotor as it expands its global footprint.
The technical specifications of the Leapmotor B03X are designed to meet the needs of urban drivers. It is powered by a single electric motor that delivers a peak output of 90 kilowatts. The top speed is electronically limited to 160 kilometers per hour. Drivers can expect a driving range of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. Rapid charging capabilities allow the battery to replenish from thirty to eighty percent in just sixteen minutes.
Leapmotor CEO Zhu Jiangming has expressed ambitious goals for the brand’s international growth. The company plans to introduce multiple new models to the European market over the coming years. They also showcased the B10 which features a range-extender powertrain for longer journeys. This hybrid approach aims to address range anxiety among potential electric vehicle adopters. The B05 hatchback was another highlight that displayed the brand’s versatility in design.
