Volkswagen Plans Massive Celebration For 50 Years Of GTI With New Edition 50
The automotive world is preparing for a significant milestone as Volkswagen gears up to celebrate half a century of its most iconic hot hatch. The German automaker has officially confirmed that 2026 will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the legendary Golf GTI. To commemorate this historic occasion, the company is launching a special model known as the ‘Edition 50’. He recently set a new lap record for a front-wheel-drive Volkswagen at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Leuchter completed the challenging circuit in just 7 minutes and 46.13 seconds. His achievement underscores the engineering improvements made to the chassis and suspension systems. The car features a specially tuned DCC adaptive chassis that sits 15 millimeters lower than the standard version.
